Yael Brotman - Earth Calling
The idea of making contact underlies the work. Earth is calling out to us and we are calling out into space. Not enough ears are listening. Human ingenuity and Nature must communicate to find a fine balance.
The images exhibited on the window are from a suite of prints that incorporated recycled analog etchings that were digitized and enhanced with hand stencilling.

Whose woods are these? Чиї це ліси?
is a cinema installation combining language and landscape to merge an elusive, shifting past with an urgent present.
The project, installed in the window gallery of PIX FILM Toronto, uses original and found film with text to express the artist’s efforts to learn Ukrainian in solidarity with the country of her ancestry as it defends against a brutal invasion.

Beatriz Juarez - S, M, L & other sizes
S, M, L & other sizes is a showcase by Mexican-Canadian Designer Beatriz Juarez. For the last 15 years, she has been experimenting with conceptual approaches in photography, abstract illustration, collage and other printing and sewing techniques. Her multidisciplinary approach is intended to understand the implications of media regarding the interpretation of images. She has explored the semiological relationships that exist between media and the consumer, audiences as anomalies, the commodification of the body and the female gaze.

Sala-Manca Group - Goatenyu
Two photo fragments of the same image installed on both sides of the sign as a site-specific installation. By missing a part, the work invites the passerby to either mentally reconstruct the original image or perceive the gap as a new, possible urban myth emerging from the bestiary of our collective imagination.

Craig Marshall is trying to encapsulate his life in a few pithy sentences. So he asked Chat GPS and CHAT gps said it out of pith.
‘Pith off’ it said.
Born in Montreal in 1969 he grew up watching Saturday Morning cartoons. Older but no wiser he still likes watching cartoons.
He went to Sheridan College for Classical Animation and the University of Guelph for Fine Arts. He’s worked in a warehouse and in health care. He’s even worked in animation but not for long. He’s made several animated films and won an award at Annecy’s Animation Festival. He was on the board of TAIS for 9 years where he met Madi. Craig Marshall lives and works in Toronto. He posts animation on Instagram at logosforhobos and drawings at dream00hobogram.
